University Hospital of Amiens-Picardie

The request of the University Hospital of Amiens-Picardie

The Amiens-Picardie University Hospital (CHUAP) is one of the two public university health establishments of reference and recourse in the Hauts-de-France region. It offers a quality service with a university hospital dimension and ensures the triple mission of care, teaching and research.

In active collaboration with the various health establishments in the region, the CHUAP’s objective is to promote excellence, facilitate patient care and propose new care structures.

The Amiens University Hospital has therefore chosen to implement 3D mapping, personalized reception and interior guidance on smartphones for its patients and visitors, in collaboration with Sweepin.

The solution proposed by Sweepin

It is in this context of research and development that Sweepin has set up its reception and interior guidance system in the Cavale Blanche Hospital, an innovative solution that is unique in France.

This reception and guidance system allows patients and their relatives to easily find their way around the hospital to their appointment point.
To do this, two solutions are offered: video web guidance or automatic step-by-step guidance via a mobile application.

With the web video guidance, patients and visitors simply scan the QR codes present throughout the establishment with their phone and enter the service they are looking for in order to be guided to it thanks to the proposed itinerary.

Thanks to the mobile application “Venir au CHU Amiens-Picardie“, patients and visitors can be guided from their home to their appointment point at the University Hospital and thus optimize their time spent on site. Indeed, by downloading it beforehand, this application allows to optimize the travel time from home to the hospital thanks to a GPS, but also an IPS (Indoor Positioning System).

In addition to geolocation, patients have the possibility to find all information about their appointment on the application. This includes the date, time and location of the appointment service, and some can also find the name of the doctor involved.

The benefits of the Sweepin solution

The mobile application optimizes the patient’s journey, providing them with a digital tool that allows them to come to a consultation quickly and with complete peace of mind. It greatly simplifies the arrival and orientation of patients and their companions in the hospital and optimizes their time spent on site. The advantage of this solution is that it does not require any network, the guidance is done offline in the establishments that are equipped with it. It is the phone’s sensors that allow the application to find the user’s position and follow him/her throughout the indoor journey. This technology is patented by Sweepin.
The medical and positional data of the users are obviously not stored to guarantee their security.

VENIR AU CHU Amiens-Picardie is available for free on Play Store and App Store.
